It is encouraging to note the zeal to make your child a hafiz. May Allah make your child a hafiz.
At the outset, the personal supervision of a qualified teacher is vital to successfully become a hafiz. A qualified teacher is one that conducts himself according to the laws of shariah and is fluent and well versed in the recitation of the Qur’an. While finding a qualified teacher may be found online, the aspect of personal supervision is generally missing.Acquiring beneficial knowledge from a teacher does not occur by merely transmitting information. Rather, a student gains beneficial knowledge from a teacher by spending time in their company. The personal companionship of a teacher extends beyond receiving instruction. This companionship is attained by merely sitting in the presence of a teacher. By learning online, one would not be able to attain these benefits. Hence, we would advise against completing your child’s hifz online, unless there is a dire need to do so.
We are not aware of any specific online hifz academies. However, if you are able find a teacher online that conducts himself according to the laws of shariah, and is an expert in the recitation of Qur’an, then you may enrol your son in those classes.
